About this deal

The inter-pupillary distance or spacing is helpfully manually adjustable, thanks to the binocular featuring a central folding mechanism that allows us to perfectly line them up with our own eyes. Despite the compact proportions the view delivered is surprisingly crisp; thanks in no small part to class-leading ED glass elements. While not a budget option by any means, this model provides plenty of punch for its proportions. The Vortex Crossfire HD 12×50 binoculars offer unbeatable performance and value. This series is always able to provide top-notch performance and features. With their 12x magnification and 50mm objective lens, they provide an excellent view of the action.

The Nikon Prostaff P3 binoculars are entry-level and we were really impressed when reviewing them. Nikon has saved on manufacturing costs where it counts, mainly in the accessories that these binoculars ship with, but has retained the high-quality optics that I expect to see in a Nikon product. While build quality is impressive, with plenty of depth of field provided and images sharp and clear in the main, we did notice a slight drop off in sharpness towards the edges. Despite the extra heft we also feel upgrading to a 12x magnification from a 10x magnification is worth it if long(er) distance observation is desirable.

The calcium-fluoride lenses offer superior sharpness and edge-to-edge clarity, while the phase-corrected roof prisms provide maximum brightness and contrast. This pair features an open-bridge, dual-hinge design for superior comfort and balance. This binocular’s optical excellence with their superior quality can be possible for the BAK 4 prisms attachment. It provides a round exit pupil for brighter images even in low-light conditions. You know what? If the IPD is too small, the eyes will have difficulty converging on an object, and if the IPD is too large, the eyes will have difficulty focusing on an object. The ideal IPD for binocular vision is between 55 and 65 mm. In this case, this pair of binoculars is perfectly suitable for any outdoor activity. With a wide 273 feet of the field of view at 1000 yards, these binoculars provide an immersive experience that is sure to please. The twist-up eyecups and 15mm generous eye relief make them comfortable to use even when wearing glasses. The Nikon Action EX 12x50, weighing in at 2.3 lbs (1.04kg), is too heavy for long bouts of stargazing. The higher magnification will enhance any image wobble, so we advise using a tripod.

Examine any binoculars and you’ll discover that one of several combinations of numbers separated by a 'x' will be visible — for example, 7x40, 10x50, 8x40 and so on. These numbers, which are often located close to the eyepieces, tell you the magnification and aperture of the optical system. For example a 10x50 binocular has a magnification, or 'power' of 10x with front lenses with a diameter of 50mm. It’s these numbers that reveal which objects you can observe by telling you how much you can magnify them by and how much light your binoculars can collect. This roof prism pair of premium-feel binoculars delivers results that are truly outstanding, albeit for a price. That said they’re slim, lightweight and easy to use, while being fogproof and waterproof too, to depths of five metres for up to 10 minutes. Delivering the sort of sharpness that will satisfy the most demanding of wildlife watchers or birders – thanks in part to its ED glass construction – the 10x magnification wedded to 42mm objective lens provides good views into the twilight hours. Inevitably they’re slightly heavier and bigger than the closest 10x30 model in the same series, though. Binoculars are tools that allow us to see things at a distance that we would not be able to see with the naked eye. But how far can 12×50 binoculars see? They can allow you to see objects that are up to 1250 meters away. This is much further than the naked eye can see. And it is much further than most other binoculars can see. While a touch more expensive than BK-7 and K9 prisms, the BaK-4 — or barium crown glass — is preferable for binoculars. With this type of prism you’ll achieve a higher quality of image, particularly when combined with a well-made optical system. Multi-coated vs fully-coated binoculars Once again, construction of this Nikon binocular includes a central folding mechanism that allows us to adjust the set up to comfortably match the distance between our own eyes. While, for us, performance isn’t quite up there with Nikon’s own premium Monarch HG alternatives in terms of clarity and sharpness, and we did notice the odd instance of purple fringing in contrast-y situations, if we’re looking for a good quality, general purpose pair then results are more than good enough. In summary, what we’re getting here is a very good performance at a very fair asking price.Something we did have a slight issue with is the focusing wheel. Although it's easy enough to use, you do have to take quite a journey from one end of the scale to the other, which makes it slightly long-winded to refocus the binoculars for an object closer to you after studying something in the distance. We're also not convinced by the Nature DX ED 12x50's eyecups, which don't give much eye relief and seem something of a weak point. Celestron Nature DX ED 12x50 binoculars: Functionality

The Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide is easily one of the best 12×50 binoculars, thanks to the Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide coating system. This works in conjunction with the roof prism design and the superior calcium-fluoride lenses to provide optimal image quality. Plus, the rugged construction makes it tough enough to handle any outdoor adventure. With A 5.2-degree field of view, you will be able to see everything in your surroundings with ease, and the BK7 standard Porro Prism ensures a clear, crisp image every time. You will get a close-up view of any objects for the 8.2ft close-focusing system. The focusing system is also easy and simple to operate. When you ask for viewing comfort. It offers 14.3mm eye relief and a 4.16 eye relief value. You can see for a long time with this binocular pair without eye fatigue. It will be useful for eyeglass wearers and non-wearers too. Yes, you can use a 12×50 binocular for birding, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, 12×50 binoculars have a relatively narrow field of view, so you will need to be careful when scanning an area for birds. As it is equipped with a large 50mm objective lens that gathers plenty of light for bright and clear images, even in low-light conditions. The 12x magnification is ideal for spotting games at a distance.

The HD glass lenses provide excellent image quality. Moreover, the ESP dielectric-coated prisms produce bright, true-to-color images. That will reflect 99% of the lights. The fully multi-coated lens enhances the light transmission rate too.Binoculars are some of the most commonly used optical instruments. Usually, the devices are handheld and are designed to provide a magnified stereoscopic view of distant objects. Essentially, binoculars are two telescopes mounted on a single frame.
