About this deal

To receive civilian aircraft transmissions you will need a scanner that has a frequency range of 108-137Mhz. If you want to listen to military aircraft transmissions then you will need a scanner that has a frequency range of 225-400MHz. You should also set the scanner to the AM mode (Amplitude Modulation). With this scanner you can program in your frequencies by connecting the scanner to a computer. Below are some software links for the Bearcat UBC125XLT: NEW - Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, frequency coverage from 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225-512MHz and 806-960MHz with 5/6.25/8.33/10/12.5KHz frequency steps. The sound enhancements if enabled (usually by default they are), will totally destroy and distort any sound coming in** Programming the scanner shouldn’t pose any difficulty as the software is quite intuitive and easy to her a grip of. Some users though complain of wasting time getting the drivers to work properly.

Are these characterizations of the Uniden’s Bearcat BC125AT true? This review, a deconstruction of the device’s feature and performance, should help you make up your mind.also ensure you install the Scan125 according to the Driver Installation Instructions and the Program The buttons on the keypad are large, soft, and well-placed. You get a nice tactile feel when you press them and the spacing of the https makes it easy to remember where the buttons are placed. This sensitive hand-held scanner comes complete with an antenna, AC adaptor, belt-clip and manual. The frequency range is 25-960 MHz (with gaps) and has a maximum of 500 Channels. See specification below. Please note USB wall adaptor and in car USB adaptors are optional accessories, please see our accessories tab option of this scanner. You would immediately notice the large LCD screen which is able to display that is able to show your alpha tag, mode, PL Tone, frequency, the signal strength meter, mode. This seems quite a lot but the large size of the display ensures a comfortable fit for all these indicators.

The new Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, which covers 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225 – 512MHz and 806 – 960MHz with 5/6.25/10/12.5KHz frequency steps. As least the mil air band's default steps are 12.5 so Close Call should latch onto 25 spaced channels. But again, the 320-400 segment is lumped in with 400-520, and there doesn't seem to be a Broadcast Screen like the 3500 has. So if you're hoping to Close Call for some PMR in the 420-470 region, you've got no way to avoid half the mil air band and huge signals from TV transmitters (470-520)! Open / Save Group Profile option added to menu, allows pre-defined sets of frequency groups to be saved and loaded making updating even faster. if the coverage is wider than the 230's (with mil air) why give us less memory?! Mil air cries out for fast scanning of loads of channels. Seems like it was designed by engineers who don't really scan much.

Thanks to Everyone

AOR DV10: at this moment there are no plans to develop software for DV10. We suggest to look at alternatives from Uniden or Icom R30. The low battery warning comes on when you’ve nearly exhausted the batteries. You get about 2 minutes of beeping to let you know you need to change the power source before the scanner auto-powers down. The Scanner's memory is used to store your frequencies which are usually arranged into Banks and Channels. A Bank consists of a group of Channels and you can program a frequency into a Channel. The idea is that you could fill a Bank with specific frequencies for a particular airshow and just scan the Channels in that Bank. You could use other Banks to store Display Teams and/or Common Display Frequencies (used at many airshows). This helps to organise all the frequencies that you want to store on the scanner. Note that all scanners work slightly differently and you should always consult the manual for your particular model.

A scanner usually lets you set either AM (Amplitude Modulation) or FM (Frequency Modulation). The scanner may also have NFM (Narrow FM) and WFM (Wide FM) but for listening to aircraft transmissions you should only use the AM mode. Inside the battery compartment is a switch to select the type of battery you want to use. You are restricted to either alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.

Next Release will possibly have:

The app allows you to choose which bank to start writing from and gives 4 options for the Live Mil data to program, Today, Last 2 Days, Last Week and Last Month. If you This scanner is cheaper than the Uniden Bearcat UBC3500XLT (now discontinued) but is still capable of receiving both civilian and military aircraft transmissions. NEW: ARC536 now also supports the US SDS100 and SDS200, the European SDS100E and SDS200E and the new Australian USDS100 It's so much better than banks, because I have for example the amateur system, which contains different groups: 70cm repeater, 70cm simplex, 2m repeaters, 2m simplex. The .grp group file can be shared with the new ProgBC Uniden Programmer to program Uniden DMA scanners (BCT15(X), UBC3500XLT etc) with the same group profiles. The Uniden Bearcat UBC125XLT is a very popular hand-held scanner for listening to airband transmissions and can be bought for a very reasonable price compared to other scanners. But a little distortion in audio quality is noticed of the volume is increased all the way up. Just a little mind you.
