On hard floors and tiles, the lower power mode was plenty to pick up dust and dirt, but the H-Free 500 does have a rather low ground clearance which means you can end up pushing larger debris around the floor. Performance based on internal tests of dust pick up on hard floor, hard floor with crevice and carpet, measured according to EN 60312-1 and attaining the dust pick up limits of Regulation (EU) No 666/2013. Whether it's a quick whiz around the living room or you're tackling cobwebs above the curtain rails, this model will leave your home spotless every time. On the top it has two lights to indicate battery level and mode (standard, hard flooring, auto and turbo mode) as well as an indicator to let you know when maintenance is needed.There will be rare occasions when circumstances arise and same day may not always be possible, but at the very worst it should be dispatched by the next working day. While the power isn’t a deal-breaker for us, if you’ve got a lot of carpets that need deep cleaning in your house, you might want to opt for a Dyson. Given that battery life drops with the motorised tool head, if you’re looking for a cordless vacuum cleaner to tackle an average-sized house then you’re better off looking at longer-lasting competition, such as the Dyson V11 or other choices on my list of the best cordless vacuum cleaners. There are plenty of features, but is let down a tad by short battery life and a small dustbin so won’t be so good for those with larger homes.
