About this deal

Rating: 4 out of 5 B&S hot in Oakland but not the Greek by G Man on 6/6/22 Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland Had an amazing time, both Tennis and Bell & Sebastian sounded fantastic. The Greek theatre was a perfect size venue for both those bands. I would go see both play again anywhere. Also, I really enjoyed the civilized nature of the Greek. Parking was easy and awesome, and the food was good. There were pleasant tables to eat at prior to the show and the lines were short.

Great show started right on time. Some of Stuart's jokes were recycled from previous shows, but i do the same thing. So good to see Belle and Sébastien live. Very enjoyable show. Felt like it was over too soon. Good times! Seeing Belle and Sebastian at the Greek was delightful! I went with a close friend and we had a blast. The price of the food was a little high, but it tasted way better than other venues (Sofi Stadium). We had great seats, the show felt so intimate! Will happily see any band at Greek - perfect venue!I did science at University in the mid-’80s. I loved the idea of science and I think I was maybe slightly misguided. I started to lose interest in all the actual work and I would be reading literature rather than doing my physics work. But when a book came along—something like Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance or The Tao of Physics—that did it for me. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, that’s a touchstone volume, a famous book. Some of the younger [readers] may not have heard about it, but I would recommend that one to them. Our first concert since the pandemic began and it couldn't have been a better experience. The band were in great form, the sound was fantastic, and the song selection balanced the old and new perfectly. The band gifted the audience with love and joy. Don't miss this tour.

I've been to some new venues lately, like the YouTube theater, where the sound design was a complete disaster. I was pleasantly surprised that an outdoor venue like the Greek had great sound, not only for the headliner, but also for the opening acts. A beautiful collaboration between Belle and Sebastian frontman Stuart Murdoch and illustrator Pamela Tait: a unique visual reinterpretation of Murdoch's favourite Belle and Sebastian songs. Although the name “Belle and Sebastian” is originally taken from the French TV show Belle et Sébastien about a boy and his dog, this song relates the story of a boy and girl.Originally signed to Jeepster Records, the band released a number of albums before signing with Rough Trade Records in the UK and Matador Records in the US. Their discography includes the studio albums Tigermilk, famous for being recorded in only three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister. They were both released in 1996, with the well known Boy with the Arab Strap released in 1998, Storytelling in 2002, The Life Pursuit in 2006, and Belle and Sebastian Write About Love in 2010. The band have also appeared on various compilation albums and live albums.

As we were going through the entrance, I was told I can't enter the premises with my Fuji x100v camera. I asked what difference they see between that and my iPhone camera that was right next to my Fuji in the tray. They said that the problem is that the Fuji is an interchangeable lens camera. I told them no, it isn't, it's a fixed lens camera; the iPhone on the other hand has three lenses in it. They said that may be the case but the Fuji is still a zoom camera. I said, no it's actually a fixed focal lens camera so it cannot zoom. The iPhone however can. At this point the person told me flat out: "sir, your equipment is not welcome at this event". This negative experience put an unnecessary damper on an otherwise great night. Glasgow has a notable literary scene, between Good Press, the Zine Library, and the Poetry Club… what’s local that you love?Rating: 4 out of 5 Great night but bad experience at the entrance by Ambrus on 6/7/22 Greek Theatre - Los Angeles Stuart’s story was about an older boy teaching a younger girl who was still at school how to play guitar, and it reminded me of Momus' song ‘ The Guitar Lesson’. The story mainly involved the boy going to the girl’s house when she finished school, and then talking to her about other things while he was supposed to be teaching her guitar. David compares the landscape of this short story to other songs Murdoch was writing at the time, and says that the short story of Belle and Sebastian helped to give form to the universe Murdoch’s songs. A beautiful collaboration between Belle and Sebastian frontman Stuart Murdoch and illustrator Pamela Tait, resulting in visual reinterpretations of the band's most-loved songs.
