I'm thinking the intersection of this supposed saffron-patchouli-sandalwood is giving the illusion of some cinnamon as well. Well i'm not really sure if i like or not. The bottle design i fine and also the box. Longevity is enourmous, even on skin this will last after shower soo be careful how you spray it. Projection for 10-20 minutes is room filling but after that it's just within arms reach for ~4 hours and it becomes skin scent after that. The smell for me is not really great. It's definitely strong, harsh and i mostly feel the musk. Some of my friends like it, but i would not probably wear it. However the price is pretty good and i don't regret buying it. Overall i think it is an okay beast scent, but would probably not wear it because it's too animalic for my nose. Presentation: 8.0 (no apparent faults, elegant flask in a glass strong "azure" colour and a good metal cap. I just think it is a bit strange for the cap to have the word "opulent" written in a similar way as in Lattafa Opulent Oud. Is this a new "Opulent" family of perfumes by Lattafa? I guess it is!)

Wearability: 8.5 (A three seasons scent for both outdoor or indoor, day or night; just avoid the summer hot days; You also have better choices for winter nights; it presents a scent different from the average oriental woody fragrance that usually targets cold weather only)

To be honest, I feel Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition , has changed over the years. I’ve noticed it’s become more cloying vanilla. Like all my Lattafas, I'll let this one rest as well for a few weeks and then will test it again in the fall on both of our skins. I'm hoping it will be less sweet and suffocating in cooler weather and the cinnamon will be less dominant.

I'll start off by saying im perplexed at others labeling this as aquatic and comparing it to Invictus / Lattafa Najdia (which i own) because i don't find the same qualities here AT ALL. Goes to show how different our perceptions are yet again. Sillage: 7.5 (5 feet at its peak with just 3 sprays; projects for two hours and becomes a skin scent by the fifth hour) But to be frankly honest I only apply 2 spritz max, I was trying to build my tolerance to Oud only bec it’s very basic where i live and maybe building my way up?

It qualified as a unisex fragrance but I really think that it leans more toward the masculine side. I don't have any doubts that I get a different scent on the opening - fresh and very spicy - while it gets woodier on the base. At the top, the fragrance projects more and it's harsher than in the base. Actually, the woody scents - radiant cashmere and animal oud - kind of melt into a single very agreeable oriental woody scent in the dry down. Versatility: 8.0 (An "all-around" versatile unisex fresh woody fragrance; That's a strange comment for an oud perfume, but Blue Oud is one of the most wearable oud fragrances I have ever tried)

Longevity is good on me, lasts through a workday, i can smell it even after 10 hours on myself after a sweaty and super hot summer day. As this perfume was meant for my husband, we tried on his skin as well. As of now, I have the entire opulent line,and here's what I will say. Out of ALL of them, I feel like this will be the most mass appealing to men. This definitely leans more masculine. This feels very fresh, clean, aquatic and almost a shaving cream/after shave type of smell. The reason I'm giving it a love is that although it's not groundbreaking, it has an extremely attractive price point for a larger audience - especially those that don't like more traditional our fragrances. Extreme versatility with a brilliant sillage.
