About this deal

The only reason I did not give 5* is I now have 3 kayaks because one of them puncture and they are a little bit challenging to patch so I bought another one.

Each time we are at the lake, we get lots of questions about it - everyone is jealous of our awesome kayak! On our first day, we had already two little holes in the floor chamber and we have started paddling yet. The Excursion Pro is the most expensive inflatable kayak from Intex but the boat skin is much thicker and it has much more features. Just a steady and slow float around the Life Guard area of our favourite beach at Bigbury On Sea here in Devon. We timed ourselves the first two times we inflated our kayaks, both times right on shore next to a launch point. This Product has a season warranty against seam failure, all holes that are not on a welded seam are not considered warranty. If you want a total package but would prefer something that's more durable and a better paddling experience all around, the Sea Eagle 370 Pro is the tandem we'd recommend. It’s good value and a great way to introduce yourself to kayaking to see if it’s something you like. It is a hand/foot pump, not an electric pump, and I tend to find it takes about 5 minutes to pump up the whole thing. Setup/Pack down - We suggest that you BYO pump since it is hard to work with the supplied pump, but it is fairly easy to inflate once attached.

Intex kayaks look great and professional regarding design but at a closer look you notice big difference with inflatable kayaks from other manufacturers that cost much more. Unlike the Intex Explorer K2 and Intex Excursion Pro, the Challenger K2 does not have carrying handles. While all accidents cannot be prevented, practicing good safety habits, setting and following rules, carefully reading instruction manuals, and vigilant supervision can greatly reduce the likelihood of injury as well as reduce injury severity. But if you're just looking for something for a weekend or a season, this still might be in your wheelhouse — just don't expect anything miraculous from it. Only the rest of the air has to be pressed out a little bit while folding up or taking care that there are no sharp objects on the floor that could damage it.I have only had one outing, the Kennet and Avon canal, but like you I plan to get in some coastal paddling as well, when conditions are suitable of course.

The only thing I found was that the wedge for the tip of the kayak wasn't quite long enough so I still couldn't reach and push against with my feet, but this is my height issue, not an issue with the kayak.

Besides, now we can load up the kayaks when we set out on a road trip and have ourselves some water-based adventures in cities around the country. We struggled to keep it in a straight line on the calmest of water, and it’s not suitable for rough conditions as it takes a lot of effort to paddle when there are waves pushing against you. The Intex Challenger K2 is the best-selling kayak from the inflatable boat manufacturer Intex and probably the best-selling kayak on the Internet. The seats are inflatable and attach via velcro and buckles, allowing you to find a more comfortable position specific to your needs. The hard plastic skegs on the underside of the kayak (similar to the underside of a surfboard) provide directional control so you can be sure you'll get where you want to go.
