Double Barrel Very Special Old Jacket is a cuvée of barrel-aged English Barleywines aged between one and three years before blending and rebarreling in Templeton Rye barrels for an additional eighteen months. The younger portion represents threads which were brewed right around the 2020 release in plan to become part of this 2022 blend.

For Rye Beer : Barrel : Time 2022 we finalized a blend which consisted of 2 different recipes, brewed 3 different times and then finished in 3 different barrels for 18 to 42 months. We have been established in the mobile trade since 2002 and ever since 2005 as a private limited company. The Heart of Darkness is our capstone mead, made from hand-harvested estate fruit grown by the Schramm’s.The palate is richly flavourful and smooth combining generosity and elegance, followed by a delicately fresh crispiness to reveal the magical balance of champagne. Imperial Stout brewed with coconut, then aged for 14 months in Weller 12 and Rittenhouse Rye barrels before being infused again with toasted and raw coconut.

The much older threads consist of the exact same brew/barrels from the 2020 release, barrels which we held back and allowed an extended aging.
