About this deal

There’s a lot of demand for small chassis these days, especially with the rise in popularity of LAN gaming events. The display of third-party trademarks and trade names on this site does not necessarily indicate any affiliation or the endorsement of PCMag. Even so, we took the time to route cables behind the motherboard tray rather than leave them in the wide open space at the bottom.

I have had stability issues where the motherboard regulators get very toasty so this is a bonus of having the cooler facing down onto the motherboard like its previous Noctua Fansink was doing. I will change the rubber pad on the cooler fan with other colored ones to spice things up little bit. Yes, the QBX is aimed at gamers, primarily because it can fit a full-size graphics card, but Cougar didn't cater to the gamer stereotype with a flashy design that demands attention. Earlier I installed 2x 120mm fans with 25mm thickness under the GPU but it snugged the GPU shroud, and its fans grinds the back frame of those 120mm fans and it was bad. This is especially true of the QBX, both because of its unique internal design and its poor instructions. Anyway, Im still waiting for the custom cable to arrived in next few days, and I'm really curious how the RX5700 and RTX Super will be. I would hope an updated version of this would include changes for a more friendly watercooling/custom loop option.

I had a look and checked it wasn't a cable from an SSD, it wasn't the SSD itself, the fan wasn't hitting anything. making it one of the most affordable SFF cases with full-length video card support, and, really, inexpensive for a case of any size. Some mention that it's rather conservative with space, while others say that it will only fit a 140mm PSU and will not fit within the frame. Not pictured: RAM (I grabbed it later), a physical HDD (the QBX had space for it, so I decided to throw one in), and the actual power supply I ended up using (this one, it turned out, was too big!inch hard drive, you can use the space for a 240mm radiator, though as previously mentioned, you can use only one 120mm fan to cool it. I was about to upgrade my GPU also along the building proccess, but life is quite rough lately, so I need to save some cash for it and the GPU upgrade is in hold for it, but I don't mind as there will be AMD to show up some new line-ups soon enough, so I stay calm and patience. slot loading DVD drive as the normal types does not fit; slot loading drives are more expensive but do look cool!
