Inspired by the ebbs and flows of tides and seasons, this deep salving theme lifted from the dark, quiet places of the Natural World “Midnight Glow” was invested. Works for all seasons although I would recommend it as a winter fragrance as it smells extra amazing in cold weather. I think I still rank Fantasy Intense as my favorite from Britney, as the cupcake and patchouli combo is completely mesmerizing on a whole other level. Midnight Velvet perfume is the perfect match for your favourite vintage ensemble in deep, rich hues. I have not smelled the original, so I am unable to make a comparison, which I think is best, since then I can appreciate this without focusing on any differences.
This fragrance is much more elegant than I expected it to be from the reviews, which made it sound like a gussied-up body spray. Several people may disagree with me, but Midnight Fantasy reminds me of Victoria's Secret Love Spell, just more berry-like.

The scent opens with top notes of black cherry, framboise and plum, middle notes are night blooming orchid, iris and freesia. Don’t wear it every day, don’t overspray (you won’t need to), save it for the right moments, make beautiful scent associations with it, savour the powerful aroma. It's the olfactory equivalent of the aftertaste of aspartame on your tongue when you sip a diet drink. Dark yet not cloying or heavy to me, well blended, has a quirky semi sweet camphorous vibe that makes you imagine a witch’s brew or an alchemy lab or something without being harsh or strange in an unpleasant way.
It's been a while since I smelled Dark Kiss but imagine La Nuit Tresor with blackberry or something instead of strawberry or raspberry.Have also always adored the colour of the bottle and loved the iconic design of the Fantasy perfume bottles. I can see myself reaching for this on winter days where I’m just lounging around at home, but I wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear this out of the house either.
